Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Associate, FCM to support back-office operations across US Futures, Prediction Markets, and Options. You will own exception management and regulatory readiness for new product launches, ensuring scalable, compliant processes.

You will collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design controls, dashboards, and reporting. The role emphasizes automation and human oversight within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations with derivatives experience.
• Analytical problem-solving in exception-based operations with strong prioritization and escalation judgment.
• Product launch and UAT experience, playbook development, and go-live support.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Knowledge of listed derivatives and interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own exception management across cash, positions, trades, and margin, including triage, investigation, resolution, and durable fixes.
• Lead operational readiness for new product launches, covering UAT/test case design, playbooks, cutover plans, and post-launch stabilization.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design scalable processes, controls, and reporting.
• Establish monitoring and exception reporting frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, dashboards) and run incident triage with escalation paths.
• Drive root cause analysis and post-mortems, translating learnings into product and process improvements.
• Identify and implement automation and tooling to reduce operational friction and manual work.
