Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, seeks a Principal Data Scientist for the American Modern Predictive Analytics team in Amelia, Ohio. You will drive end-to-end pricing model development, maintenance, and regulatory filings while mentoring junior data scientists.

You will apply FCAS expertise and advanced analytics using R/Python, GLMs/GBMs, and ML to advance pricing strategy and broader predictive initiatives across the enterprise in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• FCAS required and strong pricing model experience.
• Experience in multiple programming languages (R, Python).
• Deep understanding of GLMs and GBMs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and NLP is a plus.
• Experience with predictive analytics in insurance or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing model strategy for a subset of products.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain predictive models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
• Lead regulatory filings and objections.
• Communicate results to business partners and management.
