Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead end-to-end development of pricing models for personal lines. You will mentor junior staff and own regulatory filings while shaping enterprise predictive initiatives.

The role offers a hybrid work environment with collaboration across multiple states and highly visible impact on pricing strategy and profitability.

Qualifications

• FCAS required and strong pricing domain knowledge.
• Proficiency in R and Python for modeling.
• Deep understanding of GLMs and GBMs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts including NLP and deep learning.
• Experience with big data platforms considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing model strategy for personal lines products.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain predictive models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
• Manage regulatory filings and objections for rate filings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present results to internal/external customers.
