Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, seeks a Principal Data Scientist to lead FCAS pricing model strategy within the Predictive Analytics team. You will drive end‑to‑end model development, validation, and regulatory filings with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.

You will mentor junior data scientists, communicate complex results clearly, and contribute to broader predictive analytics initiatives aligning pricing with profitability and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• FCAS required; pricing analytics leadership.
• Strong programming in R and Python with model development exposure.
• Deep understanding of GLMs and GBMs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and NLP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing model strategy for a subset of products.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain predictive models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage filing schedules.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
• Communicate results to business partners and regulators as needed.
