Job summary

General Motors is seeking a seasoned leader to head the GMNA Fastening Engineering team at the Warren Tech Center. You will guide ~12 engineers and specialists, set priorities, and ensure high-quality design and release from program initiation through SORP.

The role emphasizes fastening strategy, talent development, and collaboration across vehicle programs, with relocation assistance and a hybrid on-site work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of fastening engineering experience.
• Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Fastener Design Release Engineers and Technical Specialists.
• Ensure high-quality engineering deliverables across multiple vehicle architectures and programs from initiation through SORP.
• Allocate resources to meet timing, workload, and program priorities.
• Provide day-to-day fastening and joining support to DREs, SQE, Buyers, Manufacturing Engineering, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and mentor others.
