Job summary

CACI is seeking an Expert Farsi Instructor for full-time, in-person positions to teach advanced-level adult students (ILR 2–3) and to assess language proficiency. The role emphasizes translating and editing materials into professional American English while delivering culturally contextual instruction.

Requirements include a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a relevant degree, 10+ years of direct adult teaching (or a master’s with 6–8 years), and ILR level 5 in speaking/listening/reading.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution or from a country where the target language is spoken.
• Minimum 10+ years of direct adult teaching experience; or a master’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience; or 15 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency translation assessment at level 5.
• Ability to achieve ILR Level 5/5/5 in speaking/listening/reading of the target language.
• Strong understanding of geopolitical, cultural, regional, and ethnic dynamics of the language areas.
• Proficient with MS Office and skilled in online research.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person instruction to advanced-level adult students (ILR 2–3).
• Apply linguistic expertise and teaching skills to support mission requirements.
• Summarize, gist, translate, triage, and edit foreign-language materials into accurate American English.
• Deliver instruction with cultural, regional, and geopolitical context relevant to the target language.
• Maintain instructional excellence and adapt teaching materials to learner needs.
