Job summary

The County of El Dorado is seeking a Program Coordinator within the Social Services Division to oversee and perform work in programs serving seniors and families with special needs. The role ensures compliance with funding, coordinates day-to-day operations, and guides service delivery with a focus on effectiveness and community impact.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets, and develop outreach to maximize program reach.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate day to day operation of senior/family services programs.
• Train staff and volunteers in work procedures.
• Maintain fiscal records and prepare reports within contractual limits.

Responsibilities

• Develop program goals and ensure implementation and compliance with funding requirements.
• Oversee multiple programs like rental assistance, food distribution, emergency shelter, information and referral, and transportation.
• Provide day-to-day direction, performance reviews, and staff training.
• Direct the receipt and review of program applications and determinations.
• Design outreach activities and referral systems to reach target populations.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend policy changes.
