Job summary

County of Sacramento is seeking a Deputy Director, Human Services to provide overall coordination of day-to-day operations for the department; and to direct a branch or group of divisions, to act for the Director within delegated authorities.

This senior leadership role requires a Bachelor's degree in management (public administration, business administration, health services administration) or related field, and four years of experience in managing a major organizational unit in human services,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a management field such as public administration, business administration, or health services administration; or in a related human service field such as social work, psychology, mental health, public health, health sciences, or sociology.
• A Master’s degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations for the department and/or direct a branch or group of divisions.
• Act for the Director within delegated authorities and perform related work as assigned.
