Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Failure Analysis Engineer in Orange, CA to investigate and determine root causes of product failures, develop corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires IPC, oscilloscopes, LabVIEW and NI TestStand expertise to support cross-functional teams.

With 5+ years in failure analysis or electrical testing, you will lead corrective actions, document findings, and collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality teams to enhance product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in failure analysis or electrical testing, preferably aerospace.
• Proficient with IPC, Oscilloscopes, Failure Analysis, Test, LabVIEW, NI TestStand.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed failure analysis on internal and customer returned products to identify root causes.
• Use IPC, Oscilloscopes, LabVIEW, and NI TestStand for analysis and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate findings to design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance reliability and performance.
• Document observations, test results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with design teams to apply findings to new products.
• Provide technical support to customers and field service engineers.
