Job summary

Yochana IT Solutions Inc. in Boston seeks an experienced Senior Layout & Facilities Engineer to lead end-to-end site and factory layout management for large-scale manufacturing operations.

You will architect the physical production environment, optimize space, material flow, and site infrastructure to scale production efficiently. This role requires 7+ years in factory layout planning or industrial engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, and experience with PFEP, OEE, and line balancing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in factory layout planning or industrial engineering in large-scale manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in CAD design tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with factory simulation software (FlexSim).
• Strong knowledge of PFEP, material handling systems, capacity modeling, OEE, and line-balancing methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept to shop-floor execution; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Factory & Site Master Planning: Lead design and long-term master planning of manufacturing lines, support spaces, building placement, and campus infrastructure for capacity expansion.
• Flow & Logistics Optimization: Design end-to-end material flow, optimize dock utilization, yard flow, and interfaces to reduce bottlenecks.
• Detailed Layout & Governance: Create and maintain layouts and 2D/3D drawings (AutoCAD/Revit); define layout governance and visual factory guidelines.
• PFEP & Material Delivery: Incorporate PFEP into layout decisions, including storage, packaging, line-side delivery, and material handling systems.
• Data-Driven Efficiency: Analyze spatial and operational data to maximize space density, reduce flow distances, and improve labor productivity.
• Capacity & Simulation Support: Collaborate on capacity planning using OEE, takt time, line balancing, and simulation tools to model throughput.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, Construction, and EHS for layout execution and safety compliance.
