Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Project Manager III to drive factory automation for the GS2 Gen 2 production system. You will own the integrated execution of the Horizon program, including workflows, data synthesis, and capital/savings tracking across the buildout.

The role requires strong program management, experience with JIRA and scheduling tools, and ability to influence across engineering, manufacturing, and finance. Flexible work location across Blue Origin sites.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, program management, business or related field.
• 4+ years in aerospace manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience building programmatic frameworks including budget, scheduling, risk, and reporting across a project portfolio.
• Experience leading new product introduction and production transition.
• Ability to influence multifunctional teams in a matrix environment.
• Strong computer skills: JIRA, scheduling tools, MS Office.
• PMP or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylee.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Factory Automation program framework from requirements to commissioning.
• Lead portfolio-level reviews of cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance.
• Ensure alignment and health of the Project Horizon Factory Automation portfolio.
• Standardize tools, processes, and KPIs across projects for data-driven decisions.
• Lead long-range planning and resource allocation for Factory Automation.
• Identify risks/bottlenecks and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Own capital expenditure tracking and savings models for automation investments.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT/OT, Finance, and Program Management.
