Job summary

Settle is hiring a Senior Factoring Underwriter & Credit Specialist to lead credit evaluation, risk structuring, and portfolio oversight for invoice factoring across high-growth e-commerce, CPG, and B2B sectors.

You will verify invoices, assess debtor risk, and coordinate lien perfection while partnering with Product, Operations and Risk to automate workflows and enhance the working capital platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of direct, hands-on A/R factoring underwriting experience.
• Experience reading UCC lien searches and structuring intercreditor deeds.
• Proven debtor risk evaluation and debtor credit limit setting.
• Thorough invoice verification and dispute resolution knowledge.
• Strong balance sheet, cash-flow and aging analysis skills.
• Experience modernizing legacy factoring with fintech workflows and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite factoring facilities and set debtor credit limits using agency reports and financials.
• Read UCC lien searches, coordinate perfection, and manage subordination/NOAs.
• Verify invoices, POs, and proof of delivery; assess concentration and disputes.
• Model dilution factors to set advance rates and holdbacks.
• Oversee UCC filings and lockbox controls; monitor portfolio collections.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to automate underwriting workflows.
