Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Facility Security Officer to lead Cribl’s industrial-security program as it grows our federal footprint. You will serve as the appointed FSO with DCSA, manage the FCL and personnel-security lifecycle, and guide compliance with the NISPOM and 32 CFR Part 117.

You will work across Legal, People Ops, Contracts, Public Sector, IT, and Security to ensure robust security posture. This is a remote-first role with periodic coordination across time zones.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with an active U.S. Government Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• 7+ years in industrial- or personnel-security, incl. 3+ years as an appointed FSO/Assistant FSO.
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the NISPOM.
• Hands-on with DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, FCL processing, SF-328/FOCI, DD Form 254s, and DCSA Reviews.
• Completion of the DCSA/CDSE FSO curriculum (STEPP) or ability to complete within six months.
• Experience standing up a security program or initial FCL.
• Strong writing, communication, organization, discretion, and judgment.
• Ability to operate across a distributed, remote-first organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage FCL sponsorship and maintenance in NISS; handle SF-328, KMP, and FOCI reporting.
• Oversee the cleared-personnel lifecycle in DISS/NBIS; sponsorship, investigations, reinvestigations, continuous vetting, transfers, terminations.
• Guide applicants through eApp and maintain confidential personnel-security records.
• Deliver required security briefings: initial, annual, insider-threat, and travel.
• Review DD Form 254s, advise on security requirements before contracts.
• Conduct annual self-inspections and prepare certifications and reports; lead DCSA review readiness.
• Serve as Cribl's primary contact with DCSA; advise executives and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Workplace and Facilities on access control and secure-area requirements.
