Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Facility Security Officer to build and run our industrial-security program as federal business grows. You will serve as Cribl's FSO of record with the DCSA, own the Facility Clearance process, and support compliance with NISPOM and 32 CFR Part 117.

You will collaborate with Legal, People Operations, Contracts, Public Sector Sales, IT, Workplace, and Security & Compliance to establish policies, training, and secure access controls across a distributed, remote-first organization.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• 7+ years in industrial- or personnel-security, including 3+ years as an appointed FSO at a cleared contractor.
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the NISPOM.
• Hands-on with DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, FCL processing, SF-328/FOCI, DD Form 254s, self-inspections, and DCSA Reviews.
• Completion of applicable DCSA/CDSE FSO curriculum or ability to complete within six months.
• Experience standing up a security program or initial FCL, plus strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively across a distributed, remote-first organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage FCL sponsorship and maintenance in NISS, including SF-328, KMP designations and FOCI reporting.
• Oversee cleared personnel lifecycle in DISS/NBIS: sponsorship, investigations, reinvestigations, continuous vetting, transfers, debriefings, terminations.
• Guide applicants through eApp and maintain confidential security records.
• Deliver initial, annual, insider-threat, foreign-travel, and other security briefings.
• Review DD Form 254s, process visit authorizations, and advise on security requirements before commitments.
• Lead self-inspections, certify reports, and prepare for DCSA Security Reviews.
• Serve as Cribl's primary contact with DCSA and advise executives on government security requirements.
• Coordinate with Workplace and Facilities on access control, visitor management, and secure areas.
