Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager for our Lexington, KY on-site team. You will lead the Utility Plant and Maintenance operations, ensuring compliant, efficient facility management in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

You will partner with the IFM Director to manage budgets, staff development, and safety programs while maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience.
• Managerial experience with budgets and personnel responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in matrixed organizations, overseeing technical and administrative staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proven track record in client relationship management and serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Utility Plant and Maintenance teams; ensure Maintenance, Financial, CMMS, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance programs are performed efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and amendments guiding JLL’s relationship.
• Accountable for financial performance related to Operational Facilities spend within budgets.
• Track trends and propose action plans for KPI/SLA underperformance in Plant Operations/Engineering Services.
• Oversee maintenance, projects and vendor activities supporting critical operations.
• Ensure staff are trained in approved practices and maintain a safe work environment in line with safety policies.
• Ensure building systems comply with State/Federal/Local regulatory requirements.
• Determine compliance with NFPA101 Life Safety Code, Safety Management, Security Management and Hazardous Materials Management.

What this job involves

The Sr. Facilities Manager will be the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the IFM Director with the delivery of quality facility management services. This role manages facilities/plant operations teams which includes, but is not limited to, regulatory compliance, quality assurance activities, financial performance and reporting, and personnel management/development. You must comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the Utility Plant and Maintenance team; Ensuring that the Maintenance, Financial, CMMS, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance programs are performed as efficiently as possible. Make decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices.
• Maintain a working knowledge and ensures compliance with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and any other relevant amendments or appendices which guide JLL’s relationship.
• Accountable for financial performance related to Operational Facilities spend while ensuring adherence to established budgets.
• Track trends and recommend action plans regarding KPI/SLA below standard performance (MSA Driven) for Plant Operations/Engineering Services.
• Provide oversight/support in the delivery of maintenance, projects and vendor activities supporting critical operations and/or functions.
• Ensure staff is trained in approved practices and procedures related to proper facility maintenance techniques. Create a safe work environment for staff by ensuring adherence to all safety/infection control policies and procedures/practices to include but not limited to the wearing of appropriate protective clothing and gear and the proper handling of contaminated equipment and tools.
• Accountable for ensuring that all building systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable State/Federal/Local regulatory requirements.
• Determine the degree of compliance with applicable standards, as directed by JLL management, specifically in the areas of NFPA101 Life Safety Code, Safety Management, Security Management, Hazardous Materials Management and Waste.
• Performs additional duties as requested.

Desired Experience and Technical Skills

• 5+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience
• Managerial experience required with proven budget and personnel responsibilities
• Strong organizational and management within matrixed organizations; oversight of both technical and administrative staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Proven track record in client relationship management, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client stakeholders
• Proficient in MS suite of products, including Teams and Share Point
• Computer proficiency in CMMS/Work Order systems
• Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program or technical trade school
• Oversight of multiple buildings on a campus
