Job summary

Simon Property Group in Sawgrass Mills is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs around the mall. The role includes supervising fellow maintenance staff, coordinating with other departments for events, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, maintaining logs, handling custodial duties as needed, and working flexible

Qualifications

• 2-3 years building maintenance experience including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing functions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, tenants, and outside contacts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot repairs to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural elements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting, drywall, lighting, and sidewalks.
• Operate equipment for maintenance tasks and keep property clean and organized.
• Support other departments for events and cart placement/repair as needed.
• Maintain inventories and safety data sheets for supplies and tools; ensure OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Supervise maintenance staff by assigning duties and inspecting work; provide guidance as needed.
• Additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
