Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Facility & Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve facility systems, production support equipment, and building infrastructure across the site in Sedalia.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, support safety standards, document work orders in the CMMS, and assist with installation and relocation of equipment, contributing to reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facility environment.
• Vast knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Knowledge of PLC operations and troubleshooting
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility-related issues.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and work order systems.
• Ability to read basic technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Maintain and repair facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in the maintenance management system.
