Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to perform industrial maintenance on plant equipment, electrical and mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance. You’ll work within Lean manufacturing practices and 5S/TPM programs to drive reliability.

The role requires hands-on use of hand tools, reading schematics, and identifying replacement parts from manuals. Overtime may be required; safety is a priority across operations.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of formal industrial or technical maintenance experience required.
• Formal tech school in industrial maintenance or equivalent training.
• Ability to read instructions from manuals and schematics with precision.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and good communication skills.
• Experience recommending replacement parts via manufacturer manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Repair and rebuild machinery, and maintain buildings as needed.
• Execute preventive maintenance per schedule and SOPs.
• Adhere to safety rules, 5S and TPM initiatives to boost OEE.
• Identify parts and liaise with vendors using manuals and drawings.
