Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an experienced Headquarters Engineering Technician to support the 99th Readiness Division Directorate of Public Works with engineering base operations and sustainment programs. The role includes designing facility repairs, reviewing designs for conformance, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and USACE requirements.

Responsibilities include project development, cost estimation with RSMeans, and cross‑functional collaboration with leadership and field teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Proficient in technical writing for building/construction, operation, repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building construction including site work, foundations, envelopes, roofing, walls, floors, doors/windows, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide project development services per Army Corps of Engineers/ACCNJ requirements.
• Incorporate energy efficiency and industry/USACE best practices into design.
• Maintain and develop the Annual Work Plan and five-year plan.
• Develop comprehensive project cost estimates using RSMeans and other data sources.
• Attend annual DPW training for no less than one week.
• Travel to sites to conduct facility evaluations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
