Job summary

The role requires coordinating with admissions, case management and health information management, managing cash receipts, bank deposits, reporting to the CBO and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) and /or 3-5 years related experience and training in bookkeeping or accounting practices.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Health Care Facility preferred
• Must have knowledge of computer office/billing software
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash receipts, including Resident Trust Fund and petty cash.
• Manage enrollment of residents in Medicaid plans and annual eligibility.
• Coordinate with Medicaid contractor and admissions for billing and enrollment.
• Enter census charges in billing software and prepare payer appeals as needed.
• Ensure proper coding of receipts and timely submission of billing to payers.
• Balance cash, reconcile Resident Trust accounts monthly, and prepare bank deposits.
• Print and email billing statements and respond to family queries.
