Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Chief Engineer for a mission-critical facility in Hopkinsville, KY. You will lead the engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable operation of building systems and driving 100% uptime.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and continuous improvement across mechanical and electrical systems. You will implement reliability-based maintenance, oversee HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, and BAS/CMMS, and use AI/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime while advising

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of facility-related work experience with leadership and supervisory roles.
• 3–5 years in a senior supervisory role managing engineering teams in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and HVAC/mechanical systems.
• Experience with BAS, CMMS, and energy management; familiarity with AI/predictive maintenance and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational management and daily leadership for the engineering team to ensure 100% uptime.
• Implement and manage a reliability-based maintenance function with inspections and monitoring.
• Oversee HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, piping, and electrical systems operations.
• Utilize AI-powered predictive maintenance, IoT, BAS, and energy platforms to reduce downtime.
• Serve as primary technical advisor to facility management and client leadership.
