Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Facility Manager / Chief Engineer to oversee operations and building engineering at the Laguna Hills site. This role combines hands-on technical oversight with facility management, staff leadership, vendor coordination, and client relationship management.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive facility management experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BAS, and a proven track record in budgeting and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years in facility management or chief engineer roles in commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BAS.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact for Laguna Hills facility operations.
• Develop and manage the facility operating budget including capital planning.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor relationships, bidding and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance staff.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
