Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Facility Manager to lead the operation of facility management services across multiple critical facilities. You will ensure safety, reliability, and client satisfaction while building and directing a team of maintenance professionals.

The role requires strong leadership, deep electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proven management of budgets, vendors, and preventive maintenance programs. A CMMS background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
• 5+ years in management roles with 5+ direct reports
• Experience using a CMMS
• Strong verbal and written communication to C-level and below

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operation of facility management services for multiple critical facilities, ensuring safety, safeguarding funds and property, and managing client relationships.
• Lead the team (Assistant Facility Manager, Workplace Experience, Coordinators, technicians) and develop site-level operating procedures and documentation.
• Guide after-hours response to emergencies and manage operational budgets and expenditures.
• Manage physical assets and critical infrastructure systems, resolving electrical/mechanical/BAS/BMS issues with minimal business impact.
• Act as single point-of-contact for client communications on schedules, budgets, projects, and staffing.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, audits, and SLA/Change Control compliance; approve system changes.
• Plan and approve staff schedules and PTO; ensure timely payroll processing.
• Ensure project completion to client satisfaction with budgets, KPIs, and contractual requirements.
• Support training compliance and approve subcontractors; develop PM contract scopes.
