Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Facility Tech III in Austin to maintain and repair our Biomedical facilities and related equipment. You will work with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks across multiple sites, performing inspections and repairs to prevent breakdowns.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred. On-call duties and valid driver's license are likely, with opportunities to support the team and

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• May require a trade license.
• 5+ years of related maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair organization facilities and properties.
• Correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems.
• Paint structures and equipment as needed.
• Repair appliances and equipment.
• Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs of projects.
• May troubleshoot and repair HVAC-related equipment.
• May drive to other locations.
