Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform repairs and routine upkeep across plant and office environments. You will work in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and welding, using blueprints and diagrams to guide tasks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

With five years of related experience, you will maintain equipment, train staff where needed, and support volunteers. A valid driver's license is required; travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent; trade license may be required.
• Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience across painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Must have basic writing and communication skills; ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties; fix minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry issues.
• Paint structures and equipment; document installations and repairs.
• Repair appliances and equipment; service boilers, chillers and pumps.
• Review maintenance records and implement corrective actions.
• Drive vehicles to other locations; follow safety procedures.
