Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs for safe, functional facilities and equipment.

You will diagnose issues, manage schedules, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role includes hands-on training, documenting maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement to uphold quality across facility

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include vocational or technical certification with 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area, or 6 years' experience in the same fields.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years; no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious FMCSA violations while operating a commercial vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
• Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
• Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships while ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Collaborate with teams to improve processes, maintain budgets, and support company values and policies.
