Job summary

Hazelett-Corporation's Vermont facility seeks a skilled Facilities Technician III to perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and building systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, lead maintenance projects, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements include 10+ years in industrial maintenance, expert building-maintenance knowledge, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities, or a manufacturing environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and hand and power tools.
• Advanced preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Independently troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment and system failures and determine appropriate solutions.
• Complete complex construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects, developing solutions for unique challenges.
• Inspect, lubricate, service, and maintain equipment to improve reliability and prevent downtime.
• Maintain company grounds, including mowing, seasonal upkeep, and snow removal.
• Operate forklifts, tractors, loaders, snowplows, company vehicles, and other facility equipment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Train and mentor less-experienced Facilities team members.
• Lead small teams and delegate tasks when responding to complex equipment or system downtime.
• Identify and communicate equipment, material, and facility concerns to the Facilities Team Lead, providing recommended solutions.
• Support a safe, clean, and productive manufacturing environment.
