Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Richmond, TX to perform routine preventive maintenance, inspect and repair facilities and equipment, and supervise junior staff. The role includes hands-on training, safety instruction, and coordination of work orders and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by FMCSA, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures; documents preventive maintenance activities.
• Uses heavy machinery and supervises less-experienced associates; conducts on-site training and safety sessions.
• Performs major and minor repairs and oversees work scopes for projects; ensures quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinates and transports vehicles for maintenance; maintains parts inventory and records purchases.
