Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance in Longview, TX. The role focuses on routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and safe operation of heavy machinery to keep facilities safe and functional.

You will manage work orders, coordinate contractors, and document activities while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment. A valid driver’s license and related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, equipment handling, or related area.
• Alternatively, 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, equipment handling, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI and limited moving violations within defined periods.
• No preventable accidents and no serious FMCSA violations in the last years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, repair, and document wear and replacement needs.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination with proper documentation.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and per regulations.
• Order parts, track inventory, submit warranty claims, and compare prices for cost efficiency.
• Identify hazards and take corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with teams to meet business priorities and support improvement initiatives.
