Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, to perform preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring safety and compliance across facilities. You will diagnose issues, manage maintenance schedules, mentor associates, and coordinate with contractors while supporting budget oversight.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, adherence to OSHA/EPA standards, and collaboration to drive continuous improvement in our facilities operations.

Qualifications

• Experience performing PM and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures following safety guidelines.
• Ability to diagnose issues using repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Experience managing work orders, schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to ensure quality and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and commitment to safety and code standards.
• Capability to lead, train, and mentor less-experienced associates and serve as a job foreman.
• Skilled in documenting maintenance activities, compiling budget information, and submitting warranty claims.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
• Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships while ensuring adherence to budget and company policies.
• Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Collaborate with teams to improve processes and support continuous facility maintenance excellence.
