Job description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $5 billion Credit Union, has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Facilities Technician. This position is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the credit union. It involves assessing and monitoring contractor/vendor performance and working closely with them to ensure work is completed according to specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Providing feedback to the Vice President of Facilities regarding the physical conditions of all credit union-owned or leased properties, maintaining a regular maintenance schedule, and completing required documentation.
• Assisting with the preparation of specific job and annual corporate budgets alongside the Vice President of Facilities.
• Performing minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging disposals, drains, and fixing faucets and toilets, and coordinating with outside plumbers when needed.
• Coordinating with other departments for major events sponsored by the credit union.
• Carrying out minor repairs on credit union properties, including maintenance of parking lots, stripes, and speed bumps, which may involve heavy lifting.
• Handling minor electrical tasks such as changing bulbs, diagnosing problems, and contacting specialists for major issues involving main panels, as well as more complex electrical work as needed.
• Performing carpentry and finishing work, including drywall repair, painting, and building walls.
• Maintaining landscapes through regular cleanup, planting, watering, and care of plants.
• Ensuring walkways are safe during inclement weather by coordinating snow removal and salting with vendors.
• Completing flooring tasks including installation and grouting of various floorings.
• Upholding safety standards in all tasks, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations, including PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Possessing knowledge of HVAC systems and generator operations across all locations.
• Performing basic locksmith duties and assuming additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, crawling, and working in confined spaces, with the capacity to exert significant force as necessary.
