Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in Denver is seeking a facilities technician to maintain and troubleshoot complex HVAC, electrical, building automation, and fire/life safety systems supporting data center operations, cash processing, and kitchen services.

You will collaborate with building engineers, project managers, and contractors, complete safety certifications, respond to service requests, and help improve energy efficiency while keeping work areas clean and compliant with standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• High school education or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction.
• May train staff and serve as a resource for less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and provides solutions to problems and performs advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of equipment.
• Electrical distribution work including UPS, controllers, breakers, relays, sensors, and wiring.
• Environmental control including chillers, AC units, humidifiers, pumps, and building automation.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot building control devices and systems (JCI MUI).
• Work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to support ongoing projects.
• Respond to service requests and document service, labor, and parts details.
• Create purchase order requisitions for parts from outside suppliers.
• Identify energy efficiency improvements in building systems.
