Job summary

BOK Financial is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment. The role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with proactive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

You will manage system upkeep, troubleshoot issues, maintain inventory, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support critical operations. Strong knowledge of HVAC, BAS, plumbing, electrical, and safety certifications is required.

Qualifications

• This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of 2-year technical school and/or 7+ years of experience working in building maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment and building automation systems (BAS).
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and repairs.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and telephone/data cabling and codes.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (for HVAC refrigerant handling).
• OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification (general industry safety).
• Trade-specific licenses (electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, depending on local regulations).
• Extensive understanding with building management systems (BMS) and maintenance / facility service request software.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC systems including split systems, RTUs, chillers, and related equipment.
• Repair electrical components such as light switches, fixtures, motors, and ballasts; assist in cable installations.
• Repair plumbing fixtures (sinks, faucets, toilets, water heaters) and lawn sprinklers.
• Coordinate and oversee vendors on site for repairs or projects.
• Perform minor construction (doors, drywall, painting).
• Perform general building maintenance (doors, desks, file locks).

Job Description

The Senior Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on both the exterior and interior of buildings, including equipment and systems critical to facility operations. This position ensures the upkeep of facilities in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The role involves hands-on work with mechanical and electrical equipment, system troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and inventory management, while adhering to established standards and best practices to maintain optimal functionality and reliability.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will operate and maintain split systems, RTU's, chillers, mini splits, CRAC units, HPU's, water pumps, boilers and cooling tower systems while also cleaning and replacing HVAC system filters.
• You will repair and replace electrical components such as light switches, fixtures, motors, and ballasts; and assists in the installation of telephone and data cables.
• You will perform repair of plumbing fixtures including sinks, faucets, toilets, water heatersand lawn sprinkler systems.
• You will assist in coordination and provides oversightfor vendors while onsite for repairs or projects.
• You will perform minor construction including rehanging doors, repairing drywall, and minor painting.
• You will perform general building maintenance such as installing and replacing doors, desks, and file locks and key cylinders.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of 2-year technical school and/or 7+ years of experience working in building maintenance.

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment and building automation systems (BAS)
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and repairs
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and telephone/data cabling and codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (for HVAC refrigerant handling).
• OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification (general industry safety).
• Trade-specific licenses (electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, depending on local regulations).
• Extensive understanding with building management systems (BMS) and maintenance / facility service request software.
• Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand tools
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Good interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions, and take action
• Ability to operate a company vehicle
