Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician in Philadelphia, PA to support the maintenance department and uphold safety and operational excellence. The role focuses on operating and maintaining large-scale utility systems, with hands-on involvement in boilers, chillers, and building automation.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant experience, a Class A Boiler Operator license, and strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Philadelphia Class A Boiler Operator License (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience operating/maintaining large-scale utility systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; able to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of utility equipment and monitor BAS and gauges.
  • Preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors and valves.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and repair as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and contractors to optimize equipment operation and environmental controls.
  • Conduct chemical testing and water treatment per safety/environmental standards.

Our client, a leader in commercial facility management, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Senior Facilities Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting operational excellence and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Philadelphia, PA

Pay Range: $32 to $35 per hour

What's the Job?
  • Perform routine inspections of utility equipment, mechanical rooms, and monitor operational parameters via Building Automation Systems (BAS) and physical gauges
  • Execute preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, compressors, and control valves according to established schedules
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures; perform repairs to restore optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and contractors to optimize equipment operation and environmental controls
  • Conduct chemical testing and water treatment for boiler, cooling tower, and closed-loop systems following safety and environmental standards
