Job summary

Powell, an engineered-to-order manufacturer of switchgear, is seeking a Senior Facilities Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our Houston, TX campus on the second shift (Mon–Thu, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.).

You will perform routine maintenance across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, diagnose and repair issues, patch drywall, paint, and prepare spaces for move-in, while coordinating with vendors and fellow technicians to keep the site safe and productive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to install electrical equipment in industrial settings.
• Strong communication and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building upkeep across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general facilities tasks.
• Troubleshoot and fix minor plumbing issues.
• Diagnose and repair interior/exterior lighting.
• Patch sheetrock, paint, and complete office make-ready work.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and cross-functional teams.

Senior Facilities Systems Maintenance SpecialistPowell, an engineered-to-order manufacturer of switchgear, is adding a seasoned facilities professional to our Houston, TX (77075) team. You’ll keep our campus running smoothly on the second shift (Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.), with overtime as needed.A day in this roleYou start your shift with a walk-through of the production and office areas, checking HVAC performance, verifying lighting is operational, and noting any work requests. A quick call with a contractor aligns a small install scheduled for later in the week.
