Job summary
Powell is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX, to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, both automated and manual. Schedule is 4am-2:30PM, Monday to Thursday with overtime opportunities, and responsibilities include maintaining CNC laser cutting, CNC turret punch press, robotic welding, and material-handling systems.
Ideal candidates have 2-4 years in maintenance, strong electrical/hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing maintenance group.
- 75 classroom study hours or seminar training in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, machine tools, and/or troubleshooting.
- Experience with CNC control systems.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality system.
- Experience with PCs and Windows software.
- Must have basic command of English.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment, both automated and manual.
- Conduct emergency and preventative maintenance on machines and facility systems.
- Assist production and manufacturing engineers with process and machinery improvements.
