Job summary

Skydio in Hayward, CA seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the safe, reliable operation of its aerospace manufacturing facility. You will own facility infrastructure, maintenance programs, and capital projects in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in facilities or plant engineering, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems, and proven capability to manage contractors and cross-functional teams. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities, engineering, construction or related field.
• 7+ years of facilities/plant engineering or related experience.
• 3+ years leading facility operations, projects or technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Experience supporting active manufacturing operations with downtime impact.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance and CMMS workflows.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and facilities projects.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day facility operations and maintenance of the manufacturing site.
• Support production equipment installations, line expansions, and facility changes.
• Coordinate utilities, shutdowns, and commissioning with minimal production impact.
• Maintain organized, safe, production-ready environments and waste management.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and documentation.
• Deliver facility projects on time, within budget, and safely.
• Partner with EHS to ensure regulatory compliance and audits.
