Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in Hayward, California is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the safe, reliable operation of our aerospace manufacturing facility.

You will oversee building systems, maintenance programs, utilities, and vendor relationships to keep production running efficiently. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced setting, collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and EHS teams, and a focus on uptime, safety, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years facilities, plant engineering, construction, or building operations in regulated environments.
• 3+ years leading facility operations, projects, vendors, or technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, compressed air, fire/life-safety, and building automation.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations with downtime impact.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance CMMS/work-order systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and execute facility projects.
• OSHA knowledge and building, fire, electrical, and environmental codes.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, project-management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation and maintenance of the manufacturing facility and infrastructure.
• Maintain critical building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, plumbing, fire/life-safety, lighting, and backup power.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Respond to outages and emergencies, coordinate troubleshooting, drive permanent corrective actions.
• Establish facility KPIs for uptime, maintenance completion, work-order response, and utility usage.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to support equipment installations and line expansions.
• Ensure facility utilities have capacity and reliability for current and future manufacturing needs.
• Coordinate equipment moves, utility connections, and commissioning with minimal production impact.
• Support clean, safe, production-ready environments; identify infrastructure risks and mitigation plans.
• Own waste-management operations and vendor relationships.
