Job summary

Corning is seeking a senior project leader to plan and oversee complex optical fiber and cable manufacturing projects worldwide. You will coordinate multiple disciplines, drive cost reductions, and lead facilities teams to meet objectives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of PM experience with large teams. Expect 25–50% travel, including international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or similar required.
• 10+ years’ project management experience leading large teams and facilities.
• Experience with suppliers, contractors, and technical staff.
• Ability to read drawings and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
• Ability to manage total costs and identify savings opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, scope, coordinate and control complex projects for Optical Fiber and Cable manufacturing worldwide.
• Improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Develop staffing requirements and coordinate cross-functional resources.
• Provide technical leadership on facilities projects.
• Communicate plans, progress, and problems to stakeholders.
• Document results and ensure coordination with other organizations.
• Train other specialists in project engineering and analysis.
