Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, regulatory compliance, and energy management across hospital sites. You will lead the preventive maintenance program and coordinate staff while ensuring uninterrupted operations.

The role requires a CHFM or CHE, 4–7 years of supervisory plant operations experience, and knowledge of Joint Commission or DNVGL standards. Florida licensure and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus 3–5 years hospital plant ops.
• Florida driver's license with clean record.
• 4–7 years supervisory experience in plant operations.
• Basic proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care or DNVGL regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops preventive and corrective maintenance program for hospital facilities.
• Plans repairs, replacements, and additions to equipment and structures.
• Establishes preventive maintenance schedules to minimize disruption.
• Monitors work for safety, quality, productivity, and compliance.
• Oversees department goals, policies, budgets, and long-range plans.
• Ensures safe environment for staff and patients per regulations.
• Manages Building Automation System and energy-saving initiatives.
• Supervises contractors and ensures compliance with policies.
• Reviews designs and provides maintenance feedback throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepares reports and manages staff records and inventory.
