Job summary

Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, MO seeks an experienced facilities maintenance professional to coordinate, oversee, and perform repairs of campus systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building components.

The role leads maintenance activities, schedules preventive work, maintains CMMS records, and ensures safety and compliance across MCC’s campuses, with responsibilities across interior and exterior systems and vehicle equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six years of continuous experience in a skilled trade; or ten years facility maintenance related experience.
• Current license in a specified building trade.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and/or replace interior building components such as ceilings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fixtures, painting and finishes.
• Maintain, repair, and/or replace exterior building components such as roofs, parking lots, garages, asphalt, concrete, lighting, masonry, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and controls, and climate control systems; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Perform inspections on mechanical, boiler, electrical, riser rooms and similar areas to ensure reliability.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure policies are followed.
