Job summary

Lutheran Homes Inc. in Kendallville, IN is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to work with the Director of Maintenance on-site.

The role covers a wide range of maintenance tasks, cleaning, and painting, with a Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm schedule and alternating on-call weekends. Ideal candidates have five years of maintenance experience, preferably in a nursing home, with knowledge of Life Safety, building codes, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade School certificate preferred, Electrical or HVAC.
• Five (5) years experience in maintenance; nursing home experience preferred.
• OSHA, Life Safety Code, Building Code & ANSI knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and building specs.
• English fluency and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Life Safety and building records; assist inspectors.
• Schedule daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and preventive tasks.
• Monitor and service Fire Alarm and Energy Management systems.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems as needed.
• Coordinate resident transportation and operate facility vehicles.
