Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the facility's maintenance operations, directing staff and inmates in upkeep of buildings and systems. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and compliance in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities include scheduling preventive maintenance, capital expenditure planning, and ensuring quality repairs. A High School diploma and supervisory experience are required, with strong knowledge of building systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Seven years in general construction or plant/ institutional maintenance.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Additional qualifying education or training may substitute for up to four years of experience.
• No substitution for supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of building construction and building systems preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Experience with an Enterprise Asset Management system is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age: 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the facility and supervise maintenance staff and inmates/residents as assigned.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and predictive maintenance replacement.
• Review maintenance work orders to diagnose problems and ensure cost-effective repairs.
• Analyze and resolve work problems and assist staff as needed.
• Make recommendations on employment, retention, promotion and other personnel actions.
