Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair facilities in a secure, institutional setting. The role includes servicing plumbing, electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and grounds, with supervision of inmates in the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, two years of general maintenance or construction experience, and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of building systems is preferred, and applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction.
• Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses may substitute for the required experience.
• Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required. Minimum age 21.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair the facility's structures and systems in a secure, safe manner.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install/repair electrical components of machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to the plan.
• Supervise and track inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.
