Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a skilled supervisor to oversee utilities systems, buildings, and equipment across multiple trades. You will allocate resources, set priorities, and ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance, guiding both staff and contractors.

The role demands an Apprentice Certification or equivalent, a Bachelor's degree, and at least eight years of progressive technical or supervisory experience within construction or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Certification, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 8 years of progressive experience.
• Strong understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations.
• Experience supervising employees or contractors in utilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees or outside contractors in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and/or general maintenance.
• Set priorities, forecast, and allocate resources to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
