Job summary

Sonoma Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department in a healthcare facility. You will oversee safety programs, coordinate with other departments, and manage budgets and vendor contracts to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory maintenance experience, knowledge of boilers and building systems, and the ability to read blueprints and apply safety

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant-related position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department and its programs.
• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed and policies are written.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments and manage contracts/work orders.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Maintain MSDS records and label hazardous chemicals.
• Prepare and monitor the Maintenance Department budget and cost reports.
• Conduct regular rounds to ensure timely and proper maintenance work.
