Job summary

Orca Bio in Sacramento is seeking a Senior Manager, Facilities to oversee day-to-day operations and maintain GMP-compliant infrastructure across HVAC, water systems, electrical, and building automation. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on safety and reliability.

You will lead maintenance programs, manage service providers, and collaborate with Production Planning to support our cell-therapy manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent job experience.
• 7–10 years of GMP facility operations and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, RODI, compressed air, electrical, and safety requirements.
• Proven leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with maintenance management software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facility operations and maintenance of HVAC, water, electrical, and other systems.
• Manage service providers and ensure quality, compliant services.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance and calibration programs for GMP compliance.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with Facilities and Production Planning.
• Maintain CMMS records and logbooks.
• Review service provider documentation and close out tasks.
• Monitor downtime and drive corrective actions.
• Plan and manage facility-related projects and equipment installation.
• Ensure safety, OSHA, GMP compliance.
