Job summary

DELFI Diagnostics, Inc. is seeking a senior facilities and inventory leader to run the Palo Alto lab and office operations.

You will manage a team, own EH&S and inventory processes, coordinate with R&D, Lab Ops, Quality, IT, Legal, Procurement, and People to ensure uninterrupted operations. You will build scalable processes, manage vendor relationships, and guide space planning for a potential new headquarters, while supporting a hybrid work model and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience; or equivalent.
• 5+ years of facilities and/or inventory management experience in life sciences, biotech, or diagnostics laboratory environment.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing and developing a team.
• EH&S process training or certification; knowledge of Cal/OSHA, hazardous materials/waste, and fire code requirements.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP-based inventory management experience including cycle counts, adjustments, and period-end close.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Experience leading internal and external audits related to facilities/inventory.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a facilities and inventory team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee safety inspection program: daily walkthroughs, drills, extinguisher checks.
• Build and manage EH&S program meeting city/state/federal requirements for labs.
• Manage external vendors for building maintenance and utilities.
• Co-own with Property Management the building/lease compliance.
• Oversee site security, badge access, alarms, visitor policies.
• Partner with Lab Operations on equipment readiness and maintenance.
• Support long-term space planning and build-out projects for HQ.
• Collaborate with People team to support hybrid work culture.
• Oversee ERP-based inventory operations, including POs, receipts, and cycle counts.
• Manage in-house manufacturing work order process and specimen receipt.
• Lead MSS/MRB processes with Quality and Procurement on supplier actions.
• Resolve PO/invoice discrepancies with Procurement/Accounts Payable.
• Develop SOPs and train on facilities/inventory policies; lead audits.
• Recommend scalable process improvements for multiple DELFI sites.
