Job summary

DELFI Diagnostics seeks a seasoned Facilities & Inventory leader to run day-to-day EH&S, inventory operations, and site services at the Palo Alto lab and office. You will manage a team, own vendor relationships, and translate department goals into SOPs and controls that support clinical and research labs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in facilities, EH&S, or related fields.
• 5+ years of facilities/inventory management in life sciences or diagnostics labs.
• 2+ years of direct people management and development.
• EH&S processes training and regulatory knowledge (Cal/OSHA, waste, fire code).
• Hands-on ERP/MRP inventory management with cycle counts and period-end close.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Audits experience in facilities/inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of facilities and inventory staff with performance management.
• Own safety inspections, daily walkthroughs, and annual evacuation drills.
• Build an EH&S program compliant with city, state, and federal rules for labs.
• Manage external vendors for building maintenance, HVAC, and waste services.
• Co-own relationships with Property Management and ensure lease compliance.
• Oversee security, badge access, alarms, and visitor policies.
• Partner with Lab Operations and IT to maintain equipment readiness.
• Support space planning and build-out projects for a new HQ.
• Collaborate with People team to optimize hybrid workspace.
• Oversee ERP-based inventory, PO receipts, reorder points, and cycle counts.
• Manage in-house manufacturing work orders from raw to finished goods.
• Lead MSS/MRB processes; coordinate with Quality and Procurement on SCARs.
• Resolve PO/invoice discrepancies with Procurement and AP.
• Develop and train on SOPs; lead internal/external audits.
