Job summary

Deliverome Bio in Cambridge, MA is hiring a Senior Research Associate to Laboratory Operations Manager to own the lab's operations, equipment, inventory, and safety in a new BSL-2 facility. The role blends hands-on bench work with building scalable systems, and directs how samples, reagents, and gear are tracked and maintained as the team grows.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a life science field with substantial hands-on wet-lab experience.
• Strong mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Working knowledge of BSL-2 practices, chemical hygiene, and waste handling.
• Experience building or maintaining an inventory or tracking system.
• Excellent documentation habits and reliability as a primary point of reference.

Responsibilities

• Lab operations and infrastructure: manage reagents, waste streams, gas/liquid nitrogen, autoclave and cold storage; create reliable systems for inventory, ordering, and equipment logs.
• Procurement, vendors and budget: run end-to-end procurement, manage vendor relationships, and track burn rates; support budget tracking with co-founders.
• Equipment ownership: oversee installation, maintenance, calibration, service contracts, and downtime response for core platform instruments.
• Safety and compliance: own biosafety practices, waste manifests, and audit readiness; manage shipping of biological materials.
• Experimental contribution and process improvement: participate in bench work when needed; write SOPs and contribute to open-science workflows.
